OBSAI RP1 support
RP1 is a base stations internal interface specification downloadable from Open Base Station Architecture Initiative. RP1 is XML-based protocol. You need XML-Schema RP1 v2 to customize XML-Simulator for testing RP1 applications. Elvior has made its implementation of RP1 v2 XML-Schema available here. Vendors are free to use or modify it.
RP1 interface specification defines the following RP1 protocol layers:
- transport layer options: UDPCP, TCP [RFC793], SCTP [RFC2960]
- application protocol (OAMP) between BTS Master Agent and Module Agent
XML-Simulator supports UDPCP transport, TCP transport and OAMP application layer.
Testing BTS Module Agent applications
For testing BTS Module Agent applications, XML-Simulator can be configured to simulate BTS Master Agent application. XML-Simulator provides the means to test and verify the behaviour of BTS Module Agent applications against the simulated Master Agent application.
